Akrapovič’s state-of-the-art technology and innovative solutions provide an exciting exhaust system for the latest Golf GTI with even more tuning potential. Engineers have spent countless hours fine-tuning the sound too, eliminating the unwanted drone effect, to give you that deep sporty Akrapovič sound through all revs. This Evolution Race exhaust system is the top-of-the-top in the Akrapovič range of performance exhaust systems for the Golf GTI. It was developed for the manual GTI, but can also be used with the DSG version. It’s meant especially for performance enthusiasts that like to test their GTIs on the race track. When installing Akrapovič aftermarket optional down pipes with sports catalytic converters or without catalytic converters, which are developed for use on closed tracks only, remapping the ECU is mandatory. When installing Akrapovič aftermarket exhaust system that was developed for use on closed tracks, we recommend remapping the ECU in order to prevent potential »check engine light« warning signals.
